Rachel is currently a Music and Sonic Arts Professor at Portland Community College and has over 20 years of experience in music education.
Rachel holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Technology in Commercial Music from The Academy of Contemporary Music (Univ. of Central Oklahoma).
Rachel performs regularly in the PNW with her own band, The Rachel Brashear Band, as well as with many other artists and groups.
Notable performances: The Music of Twin Peaks (Arranged and Performed by Rachel with an all star band), TEDxUCO 2015, SXSW Buffalo Lounge Showcase 2014, Toured with Kyle Reid and the Low Swinging Chariots, regular performer at The Next Waltz (Portland, OR), shared the stage with The Head and the Heart, Mary Lambert, Willy Porter, Alicia Witt, and more.
